Stanley's Blog

Well hello everyone, it is December and it is time to send in your deposits for the 2015 season. There are a couple of ways we can do this, 1st would be to simply send us up a check for the deposit. I usually tell everyone to put two stamps on as the postage to Canada is more than the standard US postage.

You can also put your deposit on a credit card. As a small business I would prefer a check ...as I don't have any merchant fees, but if the credit card works better for you, by all means! There is a secure deposit page on Stanley's website that will allow you to securely send your credit card info to us. If you want to have each member separately take care of their own deposit, this is an easy way to do that. They can just go to the page and put down their own deposit.

We will also be attending the All-Canada sportshow in St. Charles IL. at Pheasant Run Resort from January 8-11, 2015. If you plan on coming down to say hi and drop off your deposit there, that would be great. Just drop us a note to let us know that you will be doing that.

We still have been in the deep freeze with not a large amount of snow, probably less than 6 inches. It is forecasted to warm up a bit next week, and maybe give us a bit more snow.

This week-end will be our annual trip into the woods to find a Christmas tree. We always have a real tree, and never buy one, just go out and find one in the bush. Sometimes it works out great and we find a beautiful tree, other times it is more Charlie Brown like. That is the great part about it!! It is a nice family time. The kids are getting older now so we hopefully avoid the "battle of Bethlehem" where each kid picks out a different tree. Hot chocolate and Christmas cookies usually will bring the debate to a quick end....and Dad ends up dragging it 1/2 mile back to the truck.
